Suede is the underside of leather, sanded to achieve a soft and supple finish. It comes from farms in Rio Grande do Sul and is tanned in Brazil without the use of hazardous or banned chemicals. VEJA uses dyes that comply with regulations whilst ensuring the responsible use of water during the tanning process. This suede is then coated with PFC-free (chemical-free) water-repellent oils to protect the trainers from light rain.
