Khadi, a hand-spun and hand-woven organic cotton fabric, is woven for Kardo by Udyog Bharti. On this base, Md. Ashraf – a master embroiderer from Bengal – uses the ari chain stitch to create flowing patterns across the entire fabric. Each panel is painstakingly embroidered by hand before being assembled, so that the garment is adorned with the natural texture of the khadi, enhanced by the refined signature of Ashraf’s embroidery.
